The project will create approximately 32 full-time and part-time positions. These roles include healthcare professionals, facility management, administrative staff, and support personnel, essential for day-to-day operations at the senior living and care facility. The total annual income generated from these jobs is expected to amount to $3,243,980. This direct income will increase consumer spending within the community, bolstering local businesses and service providers.
Beyond direct employment, the project will stimulate the creation of approximately 30 additional jobs in Greenwood County. These jobs will arise from increased demand for goods and services that support the operations of the IAM of Greenwood facility, including construction, food services, and maintenance. The total annual income from these jobs is estimated to be $1,426,590.
When combining direct, indirect, and induced employment, the total economic impact is projected to reach approximately $4,670,570 annually. This includes the direct wages from facility jobs and the income from community jobs. Additionally, the total annual economic contribution attributed directly to the operations of the new IAM Greenwood facility is estimated at $2,308,638.
These figures emphasize the importance of the IAM of Greenwood project as a catalyst for local economic growth. By creating jobs and fostering a ripple effect through indirect employment and local spending, the project helps not only improve the quality of life for seniors but also strengthens the economic fabric of Greenwood County.
